IT Department – Restructuring and Promotions

We are fortunate to have an IT Team comprised of talented individuals who are always ready to take on additional responsibilities and challenges to move our company to the next level of growth and success.
We are pleased to share the department’s finalized restructure and announce the well-deserved promotions. Brian Gish will continue his role as IT Infrastructure Team Lead; Patrick Manness has been promoted to IT Infrastructure Team Lead; Mark Underwood has been promoted to IT Support Team Lead; and Michael Hines has been promoted to IT Systems Analyst. We also have two IT Support Analysts who will be joining our team later this month.
Brian, who has been with KAG Canada since April of 2017, will continue his role as our IT Infrastructure Team Lead and will be taking on new responsibilities and new reports including Hilda Bitar and the second Network Analyst we are currently hiring for. He has an extensive background in IT Infrastructure and knowledge of our systems/networks and has always been a great mentor for our team. With Brian moving forward, Patrick will be assuming Brian’s former responsibilities. Brian will continue to operate out of our Head Office location in Edmonton, AB.
Patrick is being promoted from System Administrator to IT Support Team Lead. With over 18 years of experience with KAG Canada and Paul’s Hauling, he has supported all of our systems and business applications making him a valuable member of our team. Patrick will continue to focus on Teams voice migrations, while offering his mentoring to Mark Underwood and the IT Support Team who will now report to Patrick. He will remain at our office in Winnipeg, MB.
Mark is being promoted from IT Support Analyst to IT Support Team Lead. Mark has over 30 years of experience in his field, is very organized and has a great personality which makes him an asset to our team. It’s common we receive shout-out about Mark’s ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to assist any of our team members in need. Mark will continue to operate out of our Head Office.
Michael is being promoted from IT Support Analyst to IT Systems Analyst. He will be taking on new tasks such as collaborating with Patrick on our Microsoft Teams voice migrations as well as assisting with our IT Infrastructure projects. He has shown initiative and taken a lead on Desktop/Notebook imaging as well as the initial setup of our YoDeck LFB (live feed board) systems; this promotion will allow him to assist us with more of our projects as we work to improve our IT Infrastructure systems. Michael will continue to operate out of our Head Office.
