Calgary Terminal – Retirement

September 4, 2025

We welcome you to join us in congratulating Leigh Fex on the wrap-up of his great career in the transportation industry!

Leigh has been a leader within our company for many years and most recently held the position of Terminal Manager of our ever-growing Calgary, Alberta terminal.

Back in 1974, Leigh Fex began his career behind the wheel as a class 1 professional truck driver. In this position, he was running deliveries between Calgary and Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, later purchasing his own truck in 1989. After running his own company for several years, come 1999, he was hired on with ECL Transportation and the rest is history – ECL was later acquired by Westcan Bulk Transport in 2010.

Following the acquisition, Leigh along with his wife Leslie Fex relocated to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Leigh quickly became a pillar in our brand-new dispatch center lending his expertise to offer best-in-class customer service combined with his savvy approach to operations and logistics. They later moved back to their hometown of Calgary, Alberta where Leigh held positions in safety, operations, and leadership. This was a career move that also allowed Leigh and Leslie to live closer to their children and grandchildren.

Leigh’s passion and dedication throughout the years has supported the success of our Calgary terminal. THANK YOU, Leigh.

We would like to recognize Leslie Fex who is also retiring from KAG Canada. We sincerely thank her for being part of the team for the past 15 years.  Together, they are looking forward to traveling and spending more time with their grandchildren!

Leigh’s official retirement date will be Friday, September 26.
