Retirement – Kim Miller, EVP Mergers and Acquisitions
October 8, 2025
After 40 years of dedication and outstanding contributions to the company, Kim Miller is retiring on December 31, 2025.
Kim’s been an integral leader on our journey from small town trucking in the Prairies to becoming the Canadian operating group for the premier and largest bulk transportation and logistics companies in North America. Joining L.E. Matchett Trucking as Controller in 1985, Kim immediately knew he was in for a long-term partnership, and together with our other legacy leaders, they shaped our future and helped guide us to where we are today. Kim’s leadership has been invaluable since Day 1.
Kim’s career saw a number of roles over many years, from Chief Financial Officer to his current role of leading Mergers and Acquisitions across Canada. He has always taken a strategic approach and wore many hats getting involved in the breadth of the operations to add support and valued insight. His work ethic and “pride in ownership” goes unmatched.
It is safe to say that he is one of a kind, and a friend and mentor to many. Kim is the last of his era in Canada to retire. He’s experienced many adventures to date including living in Australia, visiting most of the world and piloting an airplane. We are excited to see what is in store for the years ahead, and we wish Kim, his wife June and the entire Miller family lots of fun and excitement with Kim in his well-deserved retirement.
Kim, thank you for your passionate approach to everything KAG, for sincerely caring about our business and more importantly the people who make KAG who we are today and most of all………thank you for being you.
– Grant Mitchell, President and Chief Operating Officer
