Operations Update – Corporate Safety and Training Team
March 12, 2026
We are pleased to announce an enhanced structure for KAG Canada’s Corporate Safety and Training Team, reinforcing our continued commitment to safety excellence, regulatory compliance, and employee development across the organization.

Following our recent promotion of Roger Larocque to Corporate Safety Manager – Eastern Canada, we are delighted to welcome Kalen Paul to KAG Canada as Corporate Safety Manager – Western Canada. In this role, Kalen will oversee terminals located west of Saskatchewan, including leadership of the safety team at our Edmonton Terminal.
Kalen brings more than 10 years of experience in fuel hauling and distribution, having worked in a range of operational, safety, and field-based roles. He is eager to get started and will work closely with the broader safety team to further strengthen the consistency, responsiveness, and effectiveness of our safety programs nationwide.

Chris Harris, Corporate Compliance Manager, will continue to provide oversight of all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) compliance activities. He will also lead initiatives related to customer contractual health and safety requirements and regulatory compliance, while maintaining oversight of the Central Learning Centre (CLC). Chris joined KAG Canada more than 15 years ago as a Class 1 professional truck driver and progressed into a hands-on field safety advisory role. His extensive operational background brings valuable, practical insight to his leadership and helps reinforce a strong, compliance-focused safety culture across the organization.
We are also pleased to announce several internal promotions:

Kassia Nordick has been promoted to Compliance Specialist. Kassia began her career with KAG Canada in 2018 at our Moose Jaw Terminal and transitioned to our Edmonton Head Office in 2021 to join the CLC as a Safety Analyst. She has played a key role in advancing the success of the CLC and will continue to support its work while assuming expanded regulatory responsibilities.

Mina Jovicevic has been promoted to Claims and Safety Specialist. Since joining KAG Canada in 2023 at our Edmonton Head Office, Mina has made valuable contributions supporting company insurance requirements, assisting safety teams, and delivering special projects that help terminals achieve both regulatory and internal compliance. This promotion reflects her collaborative approach, strong execution, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Rounding out the team, we are excited to welcome Jonathan Hookes, who joins KAG Canada as Talent Development Specialist. Jonathan partners closely with Human Resources and this team, focusing on professional development initiatives, career growth opportunities, and skills advancement across the organization, while also playing a key role in developing and overseeing training programs nationwide. He joins us from a food services organization, bringing experience across human resources, operations, and training functions.
We are proud to introduce this strengthened team structure and are confident that these dedicated professionals will continue to support KAG Canada in creating a safe, compliant and successful workplace for all employees.
